Dear
Sponsor and Friend,
Thank you sponsoring our “Hooping it up for Hope”, Relay For Life
teams. With your support of carnations ,raffle, Youth fest 2005 and concessions
stands and your cash donations, we were able to raise over $2091.00 dollars! We
once again won the "Most Spirit Award" Your gifts will go to the American Cancer Society and will help fund
research for new drugs and treatments for cancer patients.
The night of the relay we had a basket ball hoop for kids to shoot baskets and we had a Hula-Hoop Contest. We also sold items candy, soda, glow in the dark bracelets and Balls. we ended up raising an additional $175.oo which helped up Shelby County over it's goal.
We learned a lot through this fund raiser, but most importantly, that we
can make a difference when we all work together. While at the Relay we saw many
people who survived cancer, and many who are currently undergoing treatments. We
learned that almost everyone knows
someone who has cancer, has survived cancer, or has died from this disease.
Last year we started a service project, making bandanas for kids who have
lost their hair to cancer. We continued making bandanas and delivered them to
the Children's Hospital in Omaha.
A website is also started to keep everyone up-to–date on our progress.
WWW.KIDSFORCANCER.COM. Please check to see how we reached our goals
and what we have set for next year.
Thank you for your help and support, but most of all thank-you for your
prayers for all cancer patients whose lives are in god’s care. We pray that
God would continue to bless the efforts and gifts of people like you, so that we
HOPE that someday soon a cure is found!

able to raise over $2,200 dollars! Our
team was awarded with the ‘ Most Team Spirit ’ trophy thanks to your help
and encouragement. Your gifts will
go to the American Cancer Society and will help fund research for new drugs and
treatments for cancer patients. I reached the goals that I set for myself and as
a team. I personally raised $824.00, and this year there were 4 other kids who
raised over $200.00. We all had a great time !

Dear Friends and Family:

I am here, once again, to ask for your support of a very worthy cause: Relay For Life! My friend Candice and I, for the second year in a row, have formed a team and have organized this fundraising event of HOPE. We are very HOPEFUL that, with your help, we can all do our best to find a cure for Cancer. Won't you help us surpass last year's collection of $1300.00. This year our goal is to raise a total of $2,000.00. Last year I personally raised $200 for a t-shirt and this year I have raised my goal to $400.00.
Every one of us knows someone who has been affected by this terrible disease. I am happy to say that I have received a lot of help from my parents and relatives. For example, my Uncle Timo from Wisconsin helped me set up this website. Please visit the links to the left to learn more how you can help us and follow our progress. I am here not only to ask you for your donations, but to ask you to think of a way to help your children achieve their dollar goals.
EVERY DONATION, NO MATTER THE AMOUNT,
WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE !
Thank you for showing us the way to become responsible adults of this community who have a caring purpose to help those in need. We can't do all of this without our community and most of all without you!
Thank You,
Jessika Marie Chapman
It is NOT to late to contribute!
Please have your donation postmarked by May 20th. as money needs to be turned in before the relay. Checks are to be made payable to American Cancer Society.
I would like to give a special thank you to my Uncle Timo for coming to Iowa and helping me set this website up.
TOGETHER, WE'RE MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
